Autumn / Halloween Photo Prop Ideas ๐Ÿ‚๐Ÿ“ท

Hey Guys!

I love the Autumn time a lot and Halloween is pretty much my fave holiday so I love making my blog look as seasonal as possible at this time of year. There's a ton of ways you can do this but one thing is using autumnal / Halloween props in your photos. I use props all year round when taking flat lays or photos of products as I think they just add a cute finishing touch to the photo's. However, in the Autumn time I love to add seasonal props to my photos to add a cosy effect. So for today's post I thought I would share a few prop ideas for your photos to make them a little more Autumnal at this amazing time of year.

1) Pumpkins!

Pumpkins are my absolute favourite thing to add to my photos at this time of year as they are such a perfect Halloween/Autumn item and they are so cute! I use a variety of pumpkins from fake ones, to real ones all shapes and sizes. I honestly love that they automatically make your photo stand out as being from the Autumn /Halloween period. These are a few pumpkins I use in my photo.

2) Fairy Lights

I have fairy lights everywhere in the Autumn/winter time as they are an essential when it comes to making a house/room feel cosy. I also love to use them as a photo prop as they have the same effect when using them in a picture.

3) Candles

Again candles are an essential when it comes to creating a cosy atmosphere and some of them are hella cute. The cute colours generally tie in with the photos and again I love the cute cosy vibe they add to a photo.

4) Themed Confetti

Confetti is one of my go-to props when it comes to taking photos especially product photos as they can be used in the background of flat lays adding a seasonal touch without taking over the whole image. I have currently been loving this Halloween themed confetti.

5) Halloween Decor

Finally the last prop I love to use in my Halloween photos are just little Halloween nick knacks you can pick up at this time of year. I generally find most of these items in the pound shops and Halloween aisles in the supermarkets. They can be super effective to add a cute spooky touch to your photos and can be so affordable to pick them up.

So that's a few of my go-to props to add a spooky / seasonal effect to my photos. I hope this may have inspired you if you are a fellow blogger or just enjoy taking photo's in general.

Halloween Movie List ๐Ÿ‘ป๐Ÿงก

Hey Guys!

Halloween is quickly approaching so theres not a better time to get together with some friends and family and watch some scary movies. With this in mind I thought I would put together a little list of films you could watch if you need some inspo. There's a mixture of scary films and the not so spooky kind so there's a little something for everyone. I don't think I'll be having a party this year so I think I may have a few friends around for a evening of pumpkin carving, spooky movies and snacks to celebrate. Therefore Ill be watching a few of these movies over the spooky season.

Here's the ones I picked out:

- Hocus Pocus
- IT
-Halloween Town
-Ghostbusters
- Zombieland
- Scream
- Monster House
- The Nightmare Before Christmas
- All Hallows' Eve
- Trick R Treat
- Teen Witch
- Frankenweenie
- Buffy The Vampire Slayer
- Casper
- Coraline
- Goosebumps
- The Conjuring
-Coco
- Gremlins
 - Harry Potter (Not very spooky but always watch this in the autumn so gives me cosy vibes)

So that's my top movies I would recommend you watch if you are looking for some spooky inspo for your Halloween movie nights. I would love to know if theres any Halloween movies you love?

Pumpkin Picking 2018 ๐ŸŽƒ

Hey Guys!

This year me and my friends headed back to Farmer Copley's in Pontefract for our annual trip to the the Pumpkin Festival event. It was raining very badly so we debated putting it off but as this was the best weekend to go for everyone we decided to brave the cold and headed over there anyway to get some pumpkins. Of course there was a ton of pumpkin themed things going on as usual from pumpkin rides, to face painting, pumpkin carving to munching on some homemade toffee apples and of course we picked up some pumpkins ready for Halloween. This is hands down the thing I look forward to the most in the autumn time every year it is such an Autumnal day out and it is just such a pretty place that I can never resist taking a crap ton of pictures (Very wet and miserable this year though so the pictures aren't as cute as normal).
I would totally recommend you visit farmer Copley's if you live anywhere near by (maybe aim for a dry day) as there is a little something for everyone and it is really great if you have any kids. However we mainly headed here for the pick your own pumpkins and we weren't disappointed, there was fields and fields of pumpkins of all shapes colours and sizes. We picked up quite a few pumpkins in preparation for Halloween then had a little walk around the festival.
Here's some pictures from the day.

So that's all the pictures I got from our very muddy autumnal trip out, I hope you enjoyed the post and we still had a great time despite the being wet cold and muddy!

My Fave Candles for Fall / Autumn ๐ŸŒฐ๐Ÿ‚

Hey Guys!

The Autumn time is finally here and this means I have gone a little candle crazy. Candles are the easiest way to make your home cosy night in ready and who doesn't love a cosy home all year round but after the colder days and darker nights there's honestly nothing better than coming home lighting a load of amazing candles which fill you're house with amazing sweet pumpkin scents and settling on the sofa with a hot drink and a fuzzy blanket. I also find that here in the UK autumn themed candles can be quite difficult to get a hold of as most of the scents are pretty Christmas related. Due to this I thought I would share a few of my autumnal candle faves with you and my go to shops when I want to get my hands on some new candles in the Autumn season.

The first place I go when I am hunting for some new candles at this lovely time of year is actually B&M. If you are unsure as what B&M is it is a bargain store here in the UK. This is one of my favourite places to go for candles as they actually have a great variety of both Autumn scents and they have quite a few Halloween ones too which is super fun and as a Halloween obsessive I can definitely appreciate this. The first candles I want to mention are these three candles from B&M, the brand of them is called Essence and they have a huge range of autumn scents and are so affordable but the three I love the most are Pumpkin Waffles which is an amazing sweet pumpkin scent, 'Autumn' and 'Radiant Red Maple' which are both a crisp scents with a hint of sweetness. These candles have 2 wicks and range between £2.99-£3.99. They burn down really well and fill a room with the scent they are also super cute for photos. These candles are actually dupes for the Bath & Body Works ones which if you are from the UK you probably already know the struggle of getting a hold of those. The other candle I have been loving from B&M is this tiny little one which is called 'Bugs & Kisses' and has a super spicy traditional autumn scent. This candle was literally £1 and is so cute, they have a whole range of these little Halloween candles I got all 4 of them but this one is my fave for sure.

The next candles I want to talk about are these two from Yankee Candle. I love Yankee candles so much for the Autumn and Winter time. They are really great candles and really do fill your house with the scents. I get mine either from Asda or my local Yankee store and they can range in prices. I love the 'Home Sweet Home' Yankee candle for this time of year it is such a spicy cosy smell, they describe this as  'A heartwarming blend of cinnamon, baking spices, and a hint of freshly poured tea' and I can understand why it is such a homely scent and I re buy this every year as I just love it so much. This one cost me £16. The other Yankee candle I love for this time of year is one of the Simply Home candles and in the Toasted Marshmallow scent. This is a super sweet scent with a kind of smoky undertone and I again love it also this one was only £9 in Asda which is such a great price for a Yankee candle.

The last place I love to go to get myself some new candles is Homesense / TK Maxx. This is hands down my favourite place to get candles for this time of year. They have sooooo many different autumn and Halloween candles its so good these two little pumpkin candles are so cute and I spoke about them in a recent haul, I actually got one of these for one of my friends who was leaving as a gift as they are just so cute and seasonal. I spoke about these scents in my last Autumn Haul post but they are lovely pumpkin scents. They are both by the brand DW Home and were £3.99 each. The final candle which you can see in the picture below is quite possibly my favourite candle of all time. HONESTLY LOOK AT IT! It is a giant pumpkin and I am not kidding when I say this is giant it is massive. It has a super sweet marshmallow/vanilla scent which smells insane. I also think that this will make a cute bowl once the candle burns down. This one was £12.99 which is really quite crazy when you consider the price I paid for the Yankee candle which is not even a quarter of the size.

Anyhow, I hope you enjoyed looking in at a few of my fave candles and maybe it helped you out a little if you were looking for some new candles to spice up your home this season.

Autumn Tag 2018 ๐Ÿ‚

Hey Guys!

Autumn is finally here and I couldn't be happier! As you may be able to see Life with Bee has had a little autumnal makeover and I am feeling very seasonal and excited. I have quite a few autumn posts planned and I just love this time of year so much . As I was scrolling down Twitter I stumbled across Kim's amazing blog and on this she took part in the Autumn Tag 2018. This was such a lovely post and it really inspired me to take part myself. You can find her post here.

So let's get in to the questions:

1. What Signifies Autumn to you?

I am completely Autumn obsessed if you hadn't gathered already so I am the type of person will jump at the earliest opportunity to start getting seasonal. Therefore I do a lot of Autumn prepping in September so I guess that is what signifies the start of the season for me, of course the crunchy leaves and colder days also help.

2. What Is the Best Way to Spend a Rainy Day?

When I am not working I love to spend a rainy day bundled up on the sofa with a crap ton of blankets, a nice hot beverage, with some autumn candles burning binging Netflix.

3. What Is Your Most Fond Autumn Memory?

I have so many amazing memories from the Autumn time as it is my favourite time of year. However I love Halloween and have so many amazing memories around that from trick or treating when I was younger, to carving Pumpkins and even throwing Halloween parties in my teenage years. I also go Pumpkin picking every year and I love doing that.

4. What is Your Favourite Autumn Scent?

My favourite scents for the Autumn period is anything Pumpkin and I am also a huge sucker for sweet scents so anything Marshmallow or Vanilla calls my name also.

5. What Are You Most Excited About This Autumn?

 HALLOWEEN!
I can't wait for Halloween and everything that comes with it from  pumpkin picking, to movie nights with my best pals, Halloween parties and picking a costume.

6. What Is Your Favourite Autumn Song?

Like Kim I'm not sure I know many Autumn songs but I love Panic! At the Disco's version of This is Halloween and the Spooky Scary Skeletons remix by Dr Stiig is also a Halloween classic.

7. What Is Your Favourite Autumn Movie?

I always find myself watching Harry Potter when the Autumn time comes around it makes me feel so cosy. I also love watching Halloween Town for a little Disney channel nostalgia.

8. What TV Show Are You Most Looking Forward to This Autumn?

I look forward to a new season of American Horror Story every Autumn. However this has currently started already this year.

9. What Is Your Favourite Autumn Colour?

My favourite Autumn colour would probably be Mustard. It is so seasonal and cute.

10. What Is Your Most Loved Outdoor Autumn Activity?

This would have to be Pumpkin picking. I look forward to this year but woodland walks in the cold crisp weather and crunchy leaves is a close second.

11. What Is Your Favourite Autumn Fashion Trend?

My favourite Autumn trend would be a nice flannel shirt or a chunky knit jumper with boots and leggings.

12. If You Could Have a Familiar/Spirit Animal, What Would It Be?

I would say maybe a cat as they enjoy sleeping, eating more than most things in life and I can deffo relate to that.

13. Name One Place You Wish You Could Visit During Autumn?

I would love to visit Dublin in Autumn  especially near Halloween as I have heard that Ireland is where Halloween all started so they take it pretty seriously and there's a huge parade and all kinds of spooky fun going on.

14. What Is Your Favourite Photo You Took Last Autumn?

 Probably this one ~

15. What Are You Being This Halloween?

I'm still debating at the min but I have narrowed it down to either a Skeleton or a Devil.

So that's all for my Autumn tag 2018. If you would like to take part here's the questions and I would love to read your posts.
